Denver’s largest dog show of 2012 is scheduled for this February 17th-20th at the National Western Complex. Hosted by the Colorado Kennel Club & Plum Creek Kennel Club, this dog show features Conformation (Breed), Obedience, Rally Obedience, and Dog Agility. There is also a enormous contingent of vendors with everything a dog lover could want including treats, toys, books, kennels, crate pads, etc.
Competition times vary, but you are sure to see the most action between 9am and 2pm. Things to know before you go:
- Bring some cash as there is a fee for parking ($8 per day) and entrance (not sure what it is there year)
- Only dogs that are entered in the competition are allowed
- Baby strollers are not allowed in the building
- Please keep an eye on children and make sure to get permission from the dog’s owner before touching any dog.
In preparation for USDAA Nationals, Rankine and Aaron entered a show in New Mexico. This morning they earned a 1st place in Master Gamblers and 1st place in Advanced Standard. Way to go — that training is paying off.
