TAG | desensitizing
Hubby and I continue training with the baby doll. We carry it around the house occasionally pushing the button to make it cry or laugh. Our cocker spaniel keeps trying to take off the cap – he is pretty sure that the doll is a squeaky toy. Overall, the boys are doing well and don’t seem to be bothered by the doll.
To up the ante, I started having the baby doll “crawl up” to their bowls while they were eating. Again, they didn’t seem bothered, no growling or protective behavior. I think it’s time to move on to stroller training.
Got the baby doll today – it cries, laughs and talks. The first time we pressed the button Kelvin came over the sniff it, Shiner ran outside, and Rankin/TJ went about their business. I have to admit I feel a little silly, but we will try it out for a couple weeks.
